Letter to faculty members at Swarthmore College from student members of S.A.A.C. inviting faculty to join them in order to educate the college community about South Africa and make progress on local and national efforts to put pressure on the apartheid regime. Speakers, films, an educational exhibit, and a 3-1/2 mile run to benefit Namibian refugees are among activities planned for the Two Weeks of Action. Also, a newly-created subcommittee of S.A.A.C. is working for an investment policy that reflects Swarthmore's condemnation of economic oppression of the black South African worker. The letter is signed by members of the Swarthmore Anti-Apartheid Committee: Dan Tarlin, Kenny Scott, Leslie Annexstein, Saleha Jilani, Theo Gallon, Carolyn Rouse, Steve Wiley, Edwin Ervin, Heidi Feldman, Paul Pruitt, Katy Stokes, Rajen Naidoo, John Gallup, Becky Hinton and Bill Moyston. The mailing mentions Yale University, UCLA (University of California Los Angeles), Michigan State University, and U.S. racism.
