The front of this document is a famous photograph of a student carrying the mortally wounded Hector Pieterson, a South African schoolboy who was shot and killed by police on June 16, 1976, the first day of the Soweto Uprising. The photograph was apparently taken by Sam Nzima. The document includes the text of Nkosi sikeleli Afrika (also spelled Nkosi Sikelel' iAfrika). [Note on date: The Episcopal Churchmen for South Africa (ECSA, later renamed Episcopal Churchpeople for a Free Southern Africa) was at the address on this document until sometime in March 1978.]
