The minutes describe organizational problems of the Seattle Labor Committee Against Apartheid regarding participation, finances, and organizing efforts. Meanwhlie, events in and around South Africa are gaining momentum, and serious cracks appear in the facade of apartheid. The committee faces two options: straighten our house and get back to work or disband and either return our assets to contributors or donate them to a group involved in similar work. The minutes mention President F.W. de Klerk, the ANC (African National Congress), Walter Sisulu, the Port Commissioner, anti-apartheid activists, African-American construction workers, and Shirley Walker.
