Minutes of June 26 meeting of Seattle Labor Committee Against Apartheid. Booth at the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Picnic on July 1, staffed by Craig, Mike and Bill, had moderate success: some sales, some conversation, and 60 signatures on Boeing petition. Inkatha attacked the family of one of the Sisters of the Long March group, killing several. Mike suggested sending condolences. The attack delayed a decision on the Fall 1989 "Children of Bambatha" tour. Linda saw report that Mobil Oil left South Africa because Congress is killing the deduction for taxes paid in South Africa.
