Letter to South African President P.W. Botha from Daniel T. Linville, President/Business Representative of Amalgamated Transit Union Local 587. The letter says the officers and membership of Local 587, in Seattle, Washington, believe that the charges of attempted murder and treason against First Vice President Alfred Ndlovu of the Transport and General Workers Union are politically motivated. The letter urges President Botha to use his influence toward dropping these charges. Copies of the letter were sent to Alfred Ndlovu and his wife and Bill Clifford of Seattle Labor Committee Against Apartheid (SLCAA), in which Local 587 participated.
