The report discusses possible ACOA actions to mark Tanganyika's independence on December 9, when it will be the first of British East African territories to become free. Two possibilities for action are: 1) Public meetings in several cities (possibly New York, Washington, Chicago, and San Francisco) to celebrate the event, and 2) Support the Tanganyika Independence Appeal Fund, which is recommended by Anton Nelson, an American who has been working with the Naru Cooperative Union in Tanganyika and is very close to ACOA.
