ACOA had been approached by two persons, speaking in an unofficial capacity but presenting the views of the Portuguese Government, about steps Portugal might be prepared to take regarding her "overseas territories." Martin Camacho, head of the Portuguese-American Committee on Foreign Affairs, had come to the office twice and telephoned once. WHITE PAPER, "Angola: Journey to a War," the United Nations Special Committee on Territories under Portuguese Administration, Colin Leys, Kivukoni College, Tanganyika, Mr. van der Ross, Dr. Weeks, Dr. Baker, the University of Liberia, Cutlington College, the State Department, Noni Jabavu, Reverend Enos Sekakane, the Methodist church, Clement Lubembe, the Kenya Federation of Labor, Kenneth Kaunda, Oliver Tambo, Jomo Kenyatta, the African-American Institute, Oxford, Ohio, Western College for Women, the Assistant Secretary of State for Africa, the Advisory Council on Africa, the Defense and Aid Fund, an appeal for South and South West African refugees in Dar-es-Salaam, Julius Nyerere, Emergency Relief to Angola (ERA), James Farmer, CORE (Congress of Racial Equality), Hope Stevens, Frank Montero, the Negro leadership conference on American policy toward Africa, Hazel Gray, Elsie Carrington, the Afro-American community, African students in the New York area, the General Assembly, Southern Rhodesia, Ruanda-Urundi, Angie Brooks, and affiliation and disaffiliation of local groups.
