[On April 9th the House of Representatives defeated by 10 votes a surprise amendment calling on the President to send observers to the April elections in Rhodesia]
This alert mailed to activists across the United States asks them to send letters to their members of Congress urging them to vote against any moves to lift sanctions against Rhodesia. Also included in the mailing is a leaflet Lifting Sanctions: Prescription for Disaster, a March 19, 1979 letter to the President opposing the an amendment to prohibit the enforcement of sanctions against Rhodesia signed by more than 100 individuals, and a leaflet Back Talk! with newspaper clips.
