The mailing thanks people for contributing to the November 9 anti-apartheid march and rally in Newark. This letter says the rally was attended by more than 10,000 people from diverse backgrounds and groups, including labor, religious, student, and community organizations. The New Jersey Anti-Apartheid Mobilization Coalition, which was formed to organize this event, has decided to continue to work together, and the number of both member organizations and individuals in the coalition has grown. The coalition is forming various committees that will include a speaker's bureau and teach-in, a newsletter, committees on education and direct action, and a red ribbon campaign.
