On November 15, 1985, Tom Holt, Director of Afro-American and African Studies and Professor of History, nominated Nelson Mandela for an honorary degree. The university has failed to make a decision on the nomination thus far. Please call the administration every day to ask about the nomination and say you will call until either they approve or reject the nomination.
