The Stephen Biko Sit-in (SBS) is carrying out civil disobedience actions to encourage the U.C. Regents to vote for full divestment of $2.6 billion from banks and corporations doing business with South Africa. The back page of the newsletter includes an advertisement by the University of California Full Divestment Coalition for civil disobedience and a legal picket at the University Regents meeting on June 20. The newsletter discusses UCPD (University of California Police Department), U.C.B. (University of California Berkeley), United People of Color (UPC), the Campaign Against Apartheid, University Hall, the Disabled Caucus, Biko Hall, Sproul Hall, the anti-apartheid movement, wage labor, U.S. imperialism, Lesbian/Gay Freedom Day March, Chase Manhattan, Manufacturers Hanover Trust, Irving Trust, Chemical Bank, General Electric, Men Against Rape, non-violent protesters, Affirmative Action, A.S.U.C.
