The mailing says Dr. Max Coleman, a businessman and chairman of the Detainees' Parents Support Committee in South Africa, will receive an award for the DPSC at a conference sponsored by the Minnesota Lawyers International Human Rights Committee in Minneapolis to be held May 31- June 6m 1987. The conference will focus on victims of torture and their treatment after release. Other human rights groups to be honored are the Mutual Support Group of Guatemala and the Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo of Argentina. The mailing discusses the history and activities of the Detainees' Parents Support Committee since its founding in October 1981. Dr Coleman also will be in New York City on June 11.
