Reprint of a Letter to the Editor of The Harvard Crimson published on November 13, 1978. The letter says it now appears that the Harvard Corporation is reneging on even the smallest concessions it made in last spring's decision about Harvard's South Africa-related investments - concessions won by the actions of thousands of members of the Harvard community. Despite Harvard's promise to divest itself of bonds in banks that have a policy of lending to the South African Government, Harvard continues to own bonds in Manufacturers Hanover Trust, whose policy is to lend money to the South African government. The letter discusses Hugh Calkins, apartheid, and President Derek Bok.
