The brochure says the Seattle Labor Committee Against Apartheid (SLCAA) began in 1986 to mobilize local labor against apartheid. The brochure says SLCAA coordinates activities with other anti-apartheid groups such as Students Against Apartheid at UW (University of Washington) and the Coalition Against South African Trade. The brochure discusses uranium hexafluoride, the National Union of Mineworkers, the Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU), Moses Mayekiso, divestment, and Shell Oil boycott. The brochure quotes Lane Kirkland and AFL-CIO document and policy resolution.
