The press release says a coalition of Boston groups protested unloading Rhodesian goods from the African Dawn, owned by Farrell Lines, which has been cited six times since 1972 for violating United Nations sanctions. The coalition includes members of the American Friends Service Committee, African Liberation Support Committee, and Southern Africa Coalition. Longshoremen in Baton Rouge, Baltimore and Philadelphia have refused to handle Rhodesian cargo, and the International Longshoremen's Association Executive Council voted earlier this year to honor the U.N. sanctions against Rhodesia. Contact people are Pat Farren (AFSC) and Dinizulu Seitu (ALSC).
