Brochure advertising Southern Africa magazine. The brochure says Southern Africa is the only periodical published in the U.S. which covers the complex issues of the white-ruled areas of Africa. The brochure says monthly coverage includes articles on South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, the Struggle against Portugal, UN News, and international and national action news. The brochure says Southern Africa features have been: eyewitness reports inside liberated "Portuguese Territories" by Basil Davison, Robert Van Lierop and Richard Lobban; interviews with Namibian and Zimbabwean leaders; analysis pf Western strategy in Southern Africa and of internal developments in Portugal; reprints, translations and testimonies. The brochure includes quotes by a black prisoner; Gil Fernandes, PAIGC (Guinea-Bissau); librarian, large southern university; Africa Information Service, local activist in Mid-West; and Amb. Edwin Ogebe Ogbu, Chairman, UN Special Committee on Apartheid.[Note on date: this brochure was produced before the coup in Portugal in April 1974 and Amb.
