The memorandum says the Michigan State University (MSU) Foundation Board voted, with Trustee Dade's second, to continue to hold investments in companies operating in South Africa provided they subscribed to the Sullivan principles. There is no word from MSU President John DiBiaggio or other officials regarding the scholarship fund CARAC suggested. On January 9, Dave Mc Connell and Frank Beeman visited Jon Lacy of United Ministries in Higher Education to discuss a proposal to establish a scholarship fund to bring expatriate South African students to MSU.
