Leaflet issued as part of a campaign to boycott Polaroid Corporation until all sales to South Africa are discontinued. The leaflet says we call for a boycott of Polaroid because of its support of the racist apartheid system of South Africa. Polaroid sells its "I.D.-2" system to the South African government to make the notorious pass-book pictures. The leaflet says "Polaroid imprisons Black people in just 60 seconds" The leaflet says Polaroid of sole supplier of lenses to a sunglass assembly operation in South Africa, owned by American Optical Company; this sunglass operation affords Polaroid the benefit of cheap labor since apartheid governs wages and labor conditions. The leaflet includes an excerpt of an Africa Research Group document that says the Polaroid Revolutionary Workers Movement confronted Polaroid with three demands: that Polaroid immediately cease all business dealings with South Africa, that Polaroid issue a statement in South Africa condemning South African Fascism, that Polaroid give all profit from South African operations to the Liberation Movements. The leaflet discusses pass offenses, wages in manufacturing, visiting a relative in an urban area, racism, Whites, and Africans.
