The mailing says we are happy to present two new resources of the Washington Office on Africa; the resource "The Struggle for Justice" (produced by the educational arm of the Washington Office on Africa), demonstrates the concrete links between the struggles taking place in South Africa and here in the U.S. The mailing says the other resource, "Election 1984: Stop U.S. Support for Apartheid", focuses on the importance of raising the dominant election issues of peace, the nuclear threat and fairness within the Southern African context during the 1984 campaigns; we strongly urge voters to challenge the candidates' positions on these specific legislative issues concerning U.S. policy toward Southern Africa. The mailing says these publications are aimed at constituencies with little or no background in Southern Africa and can be used as mobilizing tools; it is only by reaching out to "unconverted" audiences, as these materials seek to do, that we can build a larger and stronger network to defeat the Reagan Administration's policy of "constructive engagement" which has turned out to be destructive for Southern Africa.
