Mailing seeking contributions for the work of the American Committee on Africa (ACOA). The mailing says my childhood home town, Sebokeng, has become a killing field in South Africa. The media dismisses this as simply "Black on Black violence"; it is as if it is the most natural thing in the world fop Black people to kill one another. The mailing discusses Nelson Mandela. President F.W. de Klerk, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, police collusion in the massacres, the Human Rights Commission, South African police death squads, labor and religious leaders, Inkatha vigilantes, Soweto, South African Supreme Court Judge Richard Goldstone, the military, and Senator Edward Kennedy.
