Press release by the Mozambique Support Network (MSN) about its Annual Conference in Chicago. It was attended by three dozen people, including several of the world's foremost experts on Mozambique. The Mozambican Ambassador to the United Nations, Pedro Commissario, was a guest speaker. Mozambique has experienced over a decade of military destabilization by Renamo, which has been backed by the South African apartheid regime. Renamo forces have brutally killed or maimed an estimated one million people during the last ten years. The press release mentions the U.S. State Department, the United Nations, Sessy Nyman, Rev. Jimmy Swaggart, and the Heritage Foundation.
