The leaflet consists of excerpt from a speech by People's Republic of Mozambique President Joaquim A. Chissano delivered at the United Nations on October 1, 1987. Chissano says the South African regime wants to subjugate the whole of southern Africa. Therefore, Zimbabweans and Tanzanians are fighting in Mozambique against South African aggression, side by side with Mozambicans in operations that have the logistical support of Angola, Zambia and Botswana. The Front Line States understand that what is at stake in Mozambique for the future of the region as a whole. The speech mentions the Organization of African Unity (OAU), the Non-Aligned Movement, and international solidarity.
