Statement to the South African Council on Sport (SACOS) on the occasion of their General Meeting expressing support for their leadership in the struggles against oppression. The statement supports the principled voice of SACOS, its slogan of NO NORMAL SPORT IN AN ABNORMAL SOCIETY, and its unwillingness to compromise with the oppressor to benefit a few potential international "stars." SACOS is trying to create conditions in which all South Africans can reach their full potentials as sportspersons, which supports that goal worldwide. The statement is being circulated by a representative of Africa Network to seek endorsements.
