The mailing advertises a mass protest at Seattle's South African Consulate on March 10, 1985 in commemoration of Harriet Tubman's death and in honor of International Women's Day. The first planning meeting will be on February 19 at the Central Area Motivation Program (CAMP). The demonstration will be part of the ongoing protests against the presence of the South African Consulate in the state of Washington. The mailing says we hope to stage a large rally. The demands will be: close the Consulate; divest all U.S. money from South Africa; stop the prosecution of anti-apartheid demonstrators, and work to end poverty, racism and all forms of discrimination.
