Copy of a letter to Andrew Stein, President of the New York City Council protesting the use of the Stadium at Flushing Meadows for the United States Tennis Association championships in August of this year if the Tennis Association of apartheid South Africa participates in the event. The letter says the Coalition Against South African Trade (CAST) objects to the importation of South African and Namibian uranium, coal, diamonds and other products, and also the importation of South African tennis players. CAST supports a sports and cultural boycott with South Africa and total international economic sanctions against the apartheid regime as the most effective nonviolent means to end apartheid.
