The mailing reports that House Bill 1992 passed by a vote of 75-15 and is scheduled for a floor vote in the Washington Senate soon. People are asked to contact their Senator and urge a yes vote on HR 1992. The vote count now appears to be23 YES and 25 NO so one more vote is needed for passage. The opposition has brought the South African Consul General Leslie B. Labuschagne to lobby against passage. South Africa's Honorary Consul Swing guided Labuschagne around Olympia.
