The brochure is an introduction to the Southern Africa Resource Project and current conditions in South Africa. The organization provides resources about the social, political, and economic conditions in Southern Africa, including the effects of apartheid in Southern Africa and the role of the U.S. government and corporations in the region. The Southern Africa Resource Project was founded in 1981 by a group of concerned citizens in the Los Angeles area. It is now a program of the University Religious Conference at U.C.L.A. The brochure includes a quote from a column in The New York Times by Anthony Lewis of September 10, 1984.
