A volunteer collective of the Southern Africa Resource Project (SARP) is compiling packets of clips from U.S. news sources to send to selected people in Southern Africa who are involved in the continuing struggle for political and economic liberation of the region. The articles in the packet concern current events in Southern Africa, U.S. policy toward Southern Africa, and selected events in the U.S. that may have a bearing on U.S. policy. The letter accompanied a third packet in this effort. The articles in the packet concern current events in Southern Africa, U.S. policy toward Southern Africa, and selected events in the U.S. that may have a bearing on U.S. policy. The letter accompanied a third packet in this effort. The letter says that SARP also makes available in Southern California basic resource materials (literature, books, audio-visuals, speakers, etc.) on Southern African issues, in an attempt to offset the very poor and biased coverage by the more traditional channels.
