He discusses the attempt by African countries to expel South Africa from the United Nations, which was vetoed in the Security Council by the U.S., Britain and France. Houser discusses President Kenneth Kaunda of Zambia and Prime Minister Johannes Vorster of South Africa. The article says leaders of the Zimbabwean movements have begun to see the end of their long struggle against the white minority government.
