Press release about a speech made by Rev. Theo Kotze at Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago, in which Kotze said that investment in corporations doing business in South Africa is only prolonging the suffering. Kotze, a white South Africa banned in his own country and now living in exile, was formerly co-director of the Christian Institute, which was closed down by the South African government in 1977. The press release says that, for the last three years, students and other members of the Lutheran community have challenged the seminary to withdraw its funds from Continental Illinois Bank because of its loans to South Africa.
