This position paper reflects the collective position of the Third World Political Forum about the proposal to build a shantytown on the University of Chicago campus that is being debated within the University of Chicago Coalition for Divestment. The Forum believes that building a shantytown is basically a good idea, and the shantytown must be viewed primarily as an educational event. The memorandum says the Forum believed that, with a little effort, participation of the community and Black students can be assured and discusses Operation PUSH.
