This mailing reports that apartheid has not ended and the liberation movement, including the African National Congress (ANC) and the Congress of South African Trade Unions, advocate maintaining sanctions against South Africa. The mailing quotes Congressman Ron Dellums, Congressman Mervyn Dymally and Nelson Mandela. The mailing says the reforms that President F.W. de Klerk uses to court world opinion have not eased the suffering of those in the bantustans or in urban squatter conditions. People are asked to tell their Representative to keep sanctions until democracy is won.
