The mailing reports that the American Lutheran Church's Church Council has asked the Social Concerns Coordinating Committee (SCCC) to identify and develop resources for ALC congregations to use for worship, education, and action regarding the need for justice and reconciliation in South Africa and Namibia. The mailing discusses a new film on Namibia, "A Cry for Freedom." Also, the Lutheran Church in America/ DMNA has invited SCCC to join them in producing a newsletter on Namibia for congregations.
