Undated, about April 1977
2 pages
The leaflet calls for support of the sports boycott of South Africa and seeks funds for the defense of demonstrators arrested at the Davis Cup. The leaflet says demonstrations were held inside and outside where the U.S.-South African Davis Cup tennis match was held. On Sunday, April 17, a group of ten men and women - Blacks, Latins, and whites - attempted to display a banner with a political statement and sat down on the court as the play was about to begin. The leaflet says these demonstrators were charged with trespassing and resisting arrest. Their Defense Committee requests contributions for their legal costs, to be sent to the Anti-Davis Cup Ten or the African Activist Association.
