Mailing seeking donations to the Washington Office on Africa (WOA) on the occasion of the organization's 15th anniversary. Director Damu Smith says the WOA has consistently been at the center of major anti-apartheid battles in Congress and the Administration waged by the American people. Smith discusses Congressman Ronald V. Dellums and WOA's role in the passage of the Anti-Apartheid Act on 1986. The mailing discusses WOA's response to a barrage of right wing legislation. Smith also describes the WOA convening a number of effective working groups on the Southern African Development Coordinating Conference, Angola and Mozambique, and sanctions.
