This leaflet protests the invitation by the University of Massachusetts (UMass) to a vice president of Citicorp to speak, apparently at the Amherst campus. The leaflet argues that UMass's invitation to Citicorp gives tacit approval to Citicorp's South African investment, despite the university's stated commitment to divest from South Africa. The leaflet says Citibank is the largest U.S. lender to South Africa. [Note on date: this leaflet appears to have been was created after Bishop Tutu won the Nobel Prize in 1985 and most likely before South Africa declared a debt repayment standstill in August 1985.]
