This educational leaflet discusses the strike protesting the contract migrant labor system by workers in Namibia, particularly at the mines owned by the Tsumeb Corporation. Tsumeb is principally owned by two American companies, Newmont Mining and American Metal Climax (AMAX), which owns a plant in Wisconsin. The leaflet urges people to make a financial contribution to support the Namibian strikers. [Note: Judge Booth's report on the strike, "Report: International Commission of Jurists," mentioned in this leaflet is on this website.]
