Mailing about the newsletter African Agenda and raise funds for its publication. The mailing says African American Solidarity Committee (AASC) has published African Agenda (AA) for five years. Three of the liberation movements that AASC announced support for in the first issue - PAIGC, MPLA and FRELIMO - successfully defeated the forces of Portuguese colonialism and imperialism. AA exposed the Black community to the leaders of the African liberation movements and economic and political trends in Africa. The mailing says the struggle in Namibia, Zimbabwe and South Africa will not be easily won. AASC will suspend the publication of AA until September 1988 and reorganize and raise funds.
