Rozell W. Nesbitt; American Committee on Africa
Chicago, Illinois, United States
April 16, 1970
5 pages
Report by Prexy Nesbitt on his activities as the Chicago Field Representative of the American Committee on Africa, Nesbitt discusses challenges of organizing in the Midwest. Media coverage of southern Africa is very limited, so the first priority is education. Nesbitt discusses the importance of reaching people who are not already well-informed and doing so with one-page literature distributed for free. Nesbitt reports on his many speaking and organizing activities, including a meeting organized with Congressman Charles Diggs, and plans for the future, including more focus on Black and minority churches in and around Chicago and high school as well as college students.
