This brochure describes the mission of the Fund for a Free South Africa (FreeSA) to provide financial, material and technical assistance to groups or projects in Southern Africa pursuing human, political, and economic rights for the oppressed in South Africa. FreeSA was founded by South African political exiles committed to creating an anti-apartheid foundation in the U.S. to be run by South Africans. FreeSA is in contact with members of the African National Congress, United Democratic Front, South African Congress of Trade Unions, and the religious community in South Africa.
