This document explains that the Minnesota Coalition on Southern Africa is reprinting the first public interview with an official of the Zimbabwean Peoples' Army (ZIPA), which was organized in the spring of 1976. The interview with Dzinashe Machingura was conducted by the Mozambican Information Agency in Maputo, Mozambique on September 22, 1976. The document explains the rationale of disseminating the interview, namely that those who fight for independence must be their own spokesmen and be solely responsible for their views.
