Copy of a letter sent to President Jimmy Carter about the State Department statement regarding the internal settlement in Rhodesia. Schneider urges that the President not support a transparently dishonest "settlement," but instead work for an agreement among all the parties that can provide the basis for the real liberation and self-determination of the peoples of Zimbabwe. Copies of the letter were sent to Vice President Mondale, Secretary of State Vance, Ambassador Andrew Young, Congressman Charles Diggs, Senator Dick Clark and Zbigniew Brzezinski.
