Letter discusses secret State Department documents about the Reagan Administration's intention to "work to end South Africa's polecat status in the world …" The letter discusses implications of this approach for Angola and Namibia, as well as South Africa, including growing military collaboration and U.S. defiance of the 1977 United Nations sports boycott by issuing visas to the South African Springboks rugby team.
