The leaflet advertises a march and rally on Saturday, June 14, 1986 at Dag Hammarskjold Plaza and Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. State Office, with a rally at Central Park. The event is on the tenth anniversary of the Soweto uprising, when over 1,000 South Africans, including hundreds of students, were killed. The struggle has become even more intense. Alfred Nzo, Secretary General of the African National Congress, Rev. Jesse Jackson, of the National Rainbow Coalition, Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee, Judy Mowatt, Manhattan Borough President David Dinkins, and Steven Van Zandt (Little Steven) and others from the Sun City Video project are scheduled to participate in this protest.
