The proposal begins with an analysis of the increasing significance of the conflict between imperialism and national liberation in Southern Africa and the role of corporations and the media. It calls attention to recent mobilizations in Philadelphia, Chicago, New York, and San Francisco on Angola and South Africa. It argues that parallel organizing by Blacks and whites prevents the strongest possible organizing of working people. The proposal suggestions goals and programs to expand actions on South Africa, the role of the U.S. government and corporations, and issues of racism in the U.S. Comments are requested prior to a planned meeting in August before the U.S. elections.
