Potomac Association Task Force on Southern Africa
Washington, DC, United States
Undated, about August 1976
2 pages
This short memorandum critiques the South African government's plans to grant "independence" to the Transkei. It explains the homelands policy and political opposition to it. People are urged to write to Secretary of State Kissinger and members of Congress to urge that the U.S. not recognize the Transkei. [The Potomac Association Task Force on Southern Africa wrote a longer memorandum on this topic which also is on this website.]
