Description

A rally at Iowa State University (ISU) in memory of Chris Hani, chief of staff of Umkhonto we Sizwe, the armed wing of the African National Congress (ANC), who was assassinated on April 10, 1993. Speakers included Jeffrey Weiss (emcee), a student at ISU; Abram "Abie" Bafana Morodi, a South African student at ISU and President of the Ames Coalition Against Apartheid (ACAA); Professor Robert Mazur, the faculty advisor of ACAA from 1986-1991; Michael Boulden of the Black Student Association; and Tangela Weiss, a students at ISU. The rally took place on April 14, 1993 or a little later.
