ARENA: Institute for Sport and Social Analysis was a coalition of political, religious, civil rights and sports groups that campaigned in support of the sports boycott of apartheid South Africa. In 1977, the organization campaigned against the participation of South Africa in the Davis Cup tennis tournament. In 1979, it was part of a coalition that campaigned against the boxing match between Gerri Coetzee and U.S. Black heavyweight John Tate.
