Coalition members walked out of a special Trustees’ meeting in February 1982 because of dissatisfaction with the lack of equitable participation by students in the process of studying the divestment issue since the fall. In April of 1982, African National Congress member Simpi Mtobi spoke at Wooster as part of aa Midwest speaking tour organized by the American Committee on Africa (ACOA) during the spring Weeks of Action.
