Before the Board’s meeting in May 1989, the Concerned Carleton Alumni organized postcards to the Board of Trustees supporting divestment from more than 2,800 alumni as well as 610 current students, 42 faculty members, and 32 other college employees. A group of current students named Coalition for Responsible Investment was also organizing for full divestment during this time.
